Onboarding

Getting started with SaliencyLab

The fastest way to get value is not to explore every feature. It is to run one real diagnostic, read the first score correctly, and only expand the workflow when the decision actually needs more evidence.

Recommended first-run sequence

Step 1

Run one real upload

Upload a single image or video creative and let RoastIQ produce the first report before inviting broader stakeholders in.

Step 2

Read the five KPI scores first

Open the report summary, check which KPI is strongest, which one is weakest, and whether the benchmark context changes the decision.

Step 3

Turn the report into a next action

Use the recommendation and evidence language to decide whether the creative should scale, be refined, or be replaced.

Step 4

Escalate only if the decision needs it

Use Compare or Synthetic Users when the first report uncovers a meaningful trade-off or stakeholder disagreement.

When to use the other tools

Compare is for situations where two or more creatives are genuinely close and the team needs a side-by-side decision. Synthetic Users is for directional audience reactions when one diagnostic still leaves open questions about likely objections or buyer fit.

  • Use Compare when the shortlist is still alive and budget is about to move.
  • Use Synthetic Users when the report suggests a tension you want to pressure-test before human research.
  • Use the glossary and methodology when a stakeholder needs the language behind the score.
